Joining Kappa Kappa Gamma means more than becoming part of a sorority — it’s about finding a place where you truly belong.
Membership Recruitment is an exciting process where you have the chance to meet Kappa Kappa Gamma members on campus. During Recruitment, you’ll connect with current members who share their experiences, answer your questions, and help you envision what being part of a sorority could look like for you. Think of it as a glimpse into the sisterhood, support, and opportunities you’ll find in Kappa.
Primary Recruitment is a structured process that typically takes place at the beginning of the fall or spring term, depending on your campus. It’s an exciting opportunity for potential new members (PNMs) to meet representatives from all the sororities in your college’s Panhellenic community, including Kappa Kappa Gamma.
Continuous Open Bidding, or COB, is a more relaxed and informal recruitment process that happens outside of Primary Recruitment. It’s an opportunity for women to join a sorority like Kappa Kappa Gamma at times when chapters are looking to welcome new members.

New Member Program
The whirlwind of going through Recruitment, being extended a bid, and then joining Kappa for life can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time. Kappa gives our new sisters a warm welcome by extending friendship and mutual support through our new member program.
The new member period is a time to learn about the Fraternity and educate members on the expectations and requirements of being a Kappa. Each new member is given a Big Sister to guide her through this exciting chapter. New members also attend a retreat to foster and develop new friendships and connections within the chapter.
