Chapter Philanthropy

As women of Kappa Kappa Gamma, all of us in Epsilon Eta are proud to support the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation with financial gifts to help fund scholarships, confidential aid, education, and training, and support of our two museums. And lastly, within the last three years, our chapter has been chosen for the prestigious opportunity to host GIRLS Academy events. These are day-long leadership events with middle school girls in our local community, where we build relationships with the girls and participate in activities to develop them into strong and empowered women and leaders. All three of these organizations are near and dear to our hearts and we love working to benefit them by putting on events throughout the year, as well as working directly with the organizations themselves!

Active Minds is our main philanthropy.  Active Minds is an organization impacting young adults and mental health.  Active Minds openly speaks out about breaking the stigma about Mental Health.  As a Kappa, we are offered FREE online therapy sessions through Active Minds.  As Kappas and especially as woman, we know the severity of mental health and the impact it has on all of us.  We raise money for Active Minds through benefit nights at local restaurants and through our two main events: Kappa Kappachino and Mac & Keys.

Mac & Keys

The sisters of Epsilon Eta had a great time hosting our spring philanthropy event, Mac & Keys this year! We had a mac & cheese bar with an assortment of delicious toppings and drinks for everyone to enjoy. There is truly nothing better than being able to share our passion for our philanthropies with the rest of Auburn's campus. Through this event, we were able to raise over $6,000 for Active Minds and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation.

Kappa Kappaccino

In the fall we put on our event Kappa Kappaccino. This event has a coffee house feel with coffee, desserts and live music in our chapter room or another on-campus location. We love putting this together each fall because it brings together people from throughout Auburn's campus. The funds raised from the event are donated to Active Minds and The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation.

Girls Academy

In the past three years, we have also had the amazing opportunity to host a new event called Girls Academy! Girls Academy is a two-day event where we were able to partner alongside local middle schools. During this retreat, middle-school girls discussed the challenges they face, journaled about their dreams, and participated in a community service project while being mentored by the sisters of Epsilon Eta and some of our alumnae. We feel so honored to have been chosen as one of the select few Kappa Chapters around the nation to host it and hope to continue hosting Girls Academy in the future!
